Your Pinterest login plan for 2014 should include a top-ranking business account. Now that Christmas is over and New Year’s is rushing towards us like the Polar Express, there is only one thing left to do – prepare for post-Christmas sales! There is a reason why it’s called the ‘festive season,’ and it’s because this can be a very high income month for you.

Have you signed up for a business Pinterest login account yet? If not, I would encourage you to do so. There are some extra features that you can use to leverage sales going into 2014.

So, Christmas came and went. It’s over! Or is it? People are still in the buying mood – they have New Year’s to plan for, additional after-Christmas holiday parties to attend, and late presents to buy for extended family. Here’s how to take advantage of that.

Check out these stats!

#1: Create a Holiday Clean-Up Board!

People love to see how they can use old Christmas gear to improve their home – and there are a never ending list of ideas. Then you can insert whatever products or services that you are trying to sell. Start by isolating which products fit with a holiday clean-up, then Photoshop your product images to make them more festive.

Example: [Hairdresser] A board on reusing Christmas paper, decorations, how to clean-up quickly, or streamline their clean-up for next year. Insert fun hairstyle images for the ideal clean-up, and a few New Year’s ideas too. Make sure that your booking dates are out there, and that you have limited space.

#2: Create Discount Pins For Your New Year’s Promotions

In your promotions board, leverage another media to discounts, or create some Pinterest specific discounts for your users. These they should be able to use on your ecommerce site, or they should be able to show you the discount on their mobile to redeem the discount.

Example: [Toy Shop] Pin several discounted toys to your promotions pin board on your Pinterest login account. Make sure that the photos you have taken of your promotional toys are ‘festive’ as this inspires more sales.

#3: Invite People To Relax After The Hectic Christmas Rush

We all know that the 25th and 26th are special, and so are the 31st and 1st. But what are all of your pinners doing on the ‘off’ festive days? If you own a restaurant or coffee shop, you can get loads of customers through the door during these relaxing days.

Example: [Coffee shop] Pin some images of specially created (off menu) festive, Christmas or New Year themed foods for your customers. People are most likely to be with family, so run specials for 2, 4, 6 and 10 people – and give them something worth coming out for (like a little gift of free chocolate).

Pinterest login accounts that are focused on business are especially valuable around this time of year. Take unique photos – of your food, your customers, your products – and how much joy your brand shares. This will ensure that you are fully prepared for those high-income off days between Christmas and New Year.

How are you going to leverage sales on Pinterest for your business this year?
